The Aussie/Dutch duo reveal the bangers that never fail to slay a crowd.
The last time Chris 'What So Not' Emerson stopped by Club 77
The last time Chris 'What So Not' Emerson stopped by Club 77 was back in 2022, when he played a surprise drum n bass set on a random Tuesday night. Unsurprisingly, given an artist of his repute, a line of eager punters could be spotted snaking down William Street before doors had even opened. It was a night that instantly became one of our most legendary. We can still hear the bass rumbling.
This week history is set to repeat, albeit with a few small changes
On Thursday night Chris returns to the 77 decks with his good mate Thys, aka one third of Noisia, for a very special B2B set. It will be the first time the pair have played together since 2019's Your Paradise festival in Fiji. The best part? It's free!
As we count down to the impending party
We asked the fellas to share a banger that has been smashing dance floors and festival crowds for them of late. A sonic weapon that never fails to deliver.
Rea ft Sylla - On The Road (Thys Remix)
"This one has been smashing dance floors since I started testing it out. The hook being a melody played by both the bass line and the snare drum at the same time makes it super direct. This is my first release on Super Sonic Booty Bangers, but definitely not my last. I’ve already got a few collabs going with Samurai Breaks, and one of them has Rea on it as well!" - Thys
Jack Blom - NY Wobbler
"One of the few songs I've heard in my career that I did not like at first, but instantly proved me wrong. I think the lead irked me? Challenged my taste even?! Sometimes you have to see it in action to believe it & when Jack received one of the biggest reactions of the night with it at our Brisbane show, I knew I needed it in my record bag too." - What So Not
What So Not and Thys play Club 77 this Thursday 9 January. 10pm - 3am, with FREE entry all night via guest list. Register HERE.
