Kicking off our opening weekend is Friday's hotly anticipated FBi Radio Dance Class finale, where aspiring DJs syra, Kalix, westRyd3r, seohbin, 3ARSA and snowpig step behind the decks one last time, each vying to be crowned the 2026 Dance Class champion. Who will take the crown?

The Friday momentum rolls into August 7 as the Fur Coat crew take over the 77 booth, helmed by Sophie Forrest, Nick Spurway, Sven and Matt Jay. The following week, Attu and Shuko team up for a high-energy exploration of low-end club sounds that channel their African roots, followed by Melbourne favourites Chuleo Club on August 21, who continue their mission of celebrating sounds of the Latin diaspora with plenty of freaky funk in tow.

Wrapping up Fridays @ 77 on Aug 28, Love Message closes the month with Milkpaste, Unprotected Success, Alex Diwa and Harry Court, delivering an eclectic journey through house, disco, downtempo and forgotten dancefloor gems.

Club 77 Saturdays

‍Saturday remains our flagship night, helmed by trusted residents and seasoned selectors guiding the room from opening groove to closing euphoria. And who better to reboot the dancefloor and raise the tempo of our reopening weekend than Barney Kato and Mazzacles? Limber up for deep selections and celebratory vibes.

On August 8, Planet Trip creative force Mike Who returns alongside local collective Moral Laxa for a night of eclectic grooves. A week later, vinyl devotee and Prowl founder au4r33y joins trusted selector and house aficionado Jamie Palmer for another deep dive into the underground. Eora mainstays Reenie and Lorna Clarkson team up on August 22, before Assembler Code lands on August 29 with Slamb, Mira and Julius in tow for a sweaty session of boundary-pushing techno.

77 x CONTROL Sundays

If Saturdays are about release, Sundays are about exploration. Handing over programming duties to Estée Louder, the Eora DJ brings her CONTROL club night to the fore, continuing to shine a light on selectors unafraid to venture into the unknown. The series kicks off with CONFIDE, the much-hyped collaboration between Naarm DJs Jessie DM and Simonetti, followed by the return of former Dollar Bin Darling Jason de Cox on August 9, who joins party girl KAIKAI for another genre-defying session. On August 16, Cristal No.5 links with D. Tyrone, currently riding high off the release of their debut single, Heavenly Body. Control favourite and queer icon Sveta is back on August 23, before Mama De Leche and La Figa close out the month with a final Sunday session on August 30.
